Veronica Saulog is independently licensed in Arizona as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through endorsement, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).  She obtained her Master of Arts Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University, Myrtle Beach, SC; and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Campbell University, Jacksonville, NC graduating as Magna Cum Laude.

Veronica’s clinical experience include working with children/adolescents and families on variety of mental health issues and personal struggles.  Prior to relocating to Arizona, she worked with children/adolescents struggling with severe mental illness, individuals struggling with Anxiety/Stress, Depression, Grief and Loss, Trauma, family/relationship issues, Mood Disorders, behavioral issues/school, Psychotic Disorders, ADD/ADHD, and parenting difficulties in Iowa and North Carolina.  She has worked in the behavioral health field for over eight years in various settings such as Psychiatric Medical Institute for Children (PMIC), School-Based/Outpatient, social services and hospital.  She implements existential, client-centered approach and utilizes variety of techniques from Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, Solution-Focused, and Play Therapy.

Veronica believes that every person has their own story, and how their story is told is based on their own perspective and experiences.  With encouragement, non-judgemental and support, she helps her clients process through their story in order for them to take the next steps in their lives. She focuses on utilizing clients’ strengths, skills and collaboration to develop individualized treatment goals.  She values the importance of client-therapist relationship in helping her clients gain insight into their lives, whether to make changes, increase awareness or want to improve themselves.  She also believes that identifying mental health needs early on can help her clients achieve their full potential with proper course of treatment that is suited for them.  Furthermore, she recognizes different barriers in seeking mental health treatment and how the value of support system, in any form, can help her clients achieve overall mental health wellness.
